Phoenix

Fighting through bouts of depression feels like a Phoenix rising from the ashes. Accepting myself for who I am, a beautiful mess stitched together with golden life lessons, helps me continue onward and upward.
First in what's probably going to be a new series. I think my artistic style is trying new things. This started out as a few lines in a notebook that turned into a design that I decided to paint. One way it looks like a bird flying off into the sunset. Turn it upside down it's a female figure stepping forward and upward with confidence out of the darkness. It can be hung either way.
