Sentries- SOLD
Acrylic on canvas. I love Arizona and Sabino Canyon has always been a special place. The cacti seem to be standing at attention, guarding the landscape. Everything is built to survive and protect.

Self Portrait
Acrylic and mixed media on canvas.
You know the saying, never judge a book by its cover? That's what I believe about people you know even yourself. We have so much potential that we can't see even for ourselves. We work together with the divine to become our best selves. Am I receiving inspiration in this piece or am I throwing up my own ideas and developing my talents or a bit of both? Either way there are parts of my personality that only shine through creative expression and I hope you'll come see it and appreciate all the little bits that complete me as a person. I hope you see the same potential in others and take the time to learn who they are that isn't immediately visible.

Sabino Canyon- SOLD
Highlighting the different layers of the canyon leading to the city of Tucson, AZ.

Julia- Not for Sale
Sheet music on wood panel 16"x20". Musical portrait of my daughter. As the hymn on her hair reads, "The sweetest name". Growing up I always wanted to be a mom and I always wanted a Julia. It's my middle name and my grandma's first name. Lyrics on her face are the song from Ragtime "our children" which is where two parents are observing how they "dance unembarrassed" as they play together. Julia has always exhibited this zest for life and insists on pulling me along even when I don't feel like it.

Little Fingers- Not for Sale
Acrylic on Canvas 16"x20". From a photo of my son when he was a baby holding onto my finger. They grow up so fast.

Sun and Shadow- SOLD

Phoenix- $150
16x20 acrylic on canvas. Can be hung either side up.

One- $150
Two figures with their own idea of an ideal world yet share the same pure heart, each providing a foundation for the other to stand on. Each incomplete without the other. Do we continue to ignore the beauty of the other side, obsessed with our own ideals or remember that at our core we are one?

Bruce- SOLD
I was able to do this piece as a gift for the widow of this man who recently passed away. His cousins were able to watch me create this piece while they reminisced about his life. It made the process and the product all the more special.

"Kendra/Into the Storm"
Sheet music and acrylic on canvas 24"x48". My first full-body music portrait, also first one on canvas as opposed to wood. Currently on Display at Pima Community College.
I've heard how wild buffalo when sensing an incoming storm will run into the storm as opposed to away from it. It takes courage but in this way they'll be through the storm faster.
What gives us the power to face life's storms with peace, even joy as this piece shows?
In one word, trust.
I didn't know this when creating the piece but Kendra told me later that if she had done that pose alone she would have fallen on her face but her then fiance was standing out of frame to catch her. She could be peaceful and confident knowing she could trust him.
The music lyrics on the dancer's feet say "push upward towards the light."
As we push upward towards the Light of the World and put our trust in Him, we can peacefully and even joyfully face our storms knowing He will catch us and we will be through the storm before we know it.
